Dr. Nitaisevini Mataji is a multi lingual person and can communicate and give discourses in English, Hindi, Telugu, Gujarathi and Bengali Languages. She learnt many languages out of her desire to preach to maximum number of people.

The spiritual foundation

Since childhood Mataji got spiritual training from her parents. They introduced her to the life of devotion and charity. They taught her to chant the names of holy rivers while taking bath, feeding grains to the doves in the balcony and attending Mangala Arati in ISKCON etc. Her father used to distribute upma prasdam to the poor children every day at the nearby Jalaram Mandir.
He also used to feed chapathis to the cows on his way to the temple. He used to recite Ramayan loudly in their home and as a child Mataji used to hear it while moving hither and tither. He used to keep a chapathi piece with all the dished in a plate and keep it outside the home and crows used to come and eat it.
He used to say that forefathers come in the form of crows to accept the prasadam. Her father taught her how to offer water to the sun god and Tulasi etc. Mataji always says that she got her spiritual foundation from her pious parents.

Coming in contact with ISKCON

Though she is a Krishna devotee since her childhood, she came into contact with ISKCON during a summer camp. She stood first in a summer camp organized by ISKCON. The prize is a free Mayapur Yatra for the whole family. That was her first Yatra to Mayapur. She was very much inspired to see hundreds of devotees attending Mangala Arati.During her 8th standard she stood first again in the summer camp and got Prabhupada Lilamrita book as gift.
She finished reading that book within few days. After reading Prabhupada Lilamrita book, Mataji has decided to dedicate her life to Srila Prabhupada and his movement. Mataji is a preacher since childhood. In her childhood, she was inspired by senior devotees and sannyasis in ISKCON. When she was in intermediate, she used to teach Srimad Bhagavatam to the school children.

She used to wear her mother’s saree to look like a grown up woman. Assisting in editing Hare Krishna Movement Magazine, Conducting Sunday Classes, Organizing Competitions for Janmashtami, Conducting Cultural Programs and Preaching in the schools were some of the other services of Mataji during her Hyderabad days.
“You will become a nice preacher in your future”, an ISKCON sannyasi blessed Mataji during her childhood. Mataji says that because of such blessings only she is able to preach Krishna Consciousness in 5 languages.

Marriage, initiation and Preaching
Marriage, initiation and Preaching
Mataji got married to Sriman Samba Das Prabhuji in the year 1997 and then left to Atlanta, USA for preaching. There she got initiation from H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaj in the year 1998 and got the name “Nitaisevini Devi Dasi”. As per the instructions from their Guru and ISKCON authorities, they came to Vizag to start a center there.

They took a hotel room for rent in Visakhapatnam with determination to preach Krishna Consciousness. While searching for a place to start their preaching activities, the telephone booth owner offered to rent his 3 storied building. They took that building for rent and started preaching activities in the year 1999. They started preaching with 5000 rupees worth books of Srila Prabhupada and a laminated photo of Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan.
After few years, they got a land for temple construction in the serene beaches of Visakhapatnam. But they didn’t have even a single rupee in the bank to purchase the land. In the meantime, Sriman Samba Das Prabhuji printed the invitation and invited a minister too for laying of foundation stone for temple construction.
He understood the anxiety of Mataji and gave her courage. With full faith on Krishna, they raised the funds needed for constructing the temple and completed Bhoomi Puja without any hindrance. Today a world class temple is getting ready for opening in Visakhapatnam.

A spiritual Educationalist

Since childhood Mataji had a desire to give spiritual education to the children. With that desire, Mataji started a school called “Divine Touch” in the year 2011. Here along with the regular academics, spiritual education will be given to the children. Recitation of Bhagavad Gita slokas, teaching the stories from Srimad Bhagavatam, Painting, Classical singing and dancing are also taught in this school. The main aim of this school is to teach vedic culture to the children at very young age. Mataji wants to do something big and eternal for the children. Once the temple construction is completed, Mataji wants to start a residential gurukul for the children so that they can be trained in Krishna Consciousness from very tender age.
